Here in south east Virginia and we are still in the 80’s and everything is still rather lush and green. The height of our color season isn’t until early to mid-November. A lengthy season means decorating for autumn can be fun because you can change it up as the season progresses, from September’s greens and yellows, to October’s orange and black, then November’s red, orange, and browns. I thought I’d start the season off with cooler tones before I jumped into the traditional color scheme. I ... Read More about Autumn Display
Rain, Roads, and a Roast
It’s raining again today. Give me thunderstorms any day of the week. Thunderstorms equal excitement and action, which I love, but not this dreary drizzle, clouds hanging low in the sky. Here was the view (from the ... Read More about Board and Batten Bathroom Update- Part 1
Pumpkin Lattes {with Spiced Pumpkin Whipped Cream}

Someone explain this to me please… As women, we devote our 20’s-30’s tending to children at all hours of the moonlight, only to discover that as we near our 40’s, and the children actually sleep through the night, WE no longer can! No wonder we are so productive. We’re awake for so many hours! In my ... Read More about Pumpkin Lattes {with Spiced Pumpkin Whipped Cream}
