Monday’s are always a bit overwhelming for me. Are they for you too? I’m a huge advocate for 3 day weekends… and Monday’s should be day 3, don’t you think? We all need an extra day to re-coup and re-new! There is a lot happening in Casa de Sand & Sisal this week! I’m traveling to NYC by myself for the 1st time ever in my life! I’ve been selected as one of Better Homes & Gardens “Style Makers” for 2014 and I’m flying up to their PR headquarters in Manhattan for a conference with all the pros from BHG and many other amazing stylemaker bloggy girlfriends! I’m seriously having a bit of an anxiety attack combined with total excitement over the whole idea!
Did I mention I have 3 kiddos at home still (one is away at college) and they all have sports, after school activities, and crazy loads of homework. I do travel a few times a year for work, and preparing the hubs for my absence is always nerve-wracking. Kudos to all you mama’s out there who need to travel frequently! I still need to figure out what I’m wearing (kill-me-now) and how to pack all of it in a carry on!
So now that you know I’m in a bit of an anticipatory panic, say a little prayer for me and let’s get on with this week’s Inspire Me Monday Party! 😉
So many fabulous features from last week’s party are listed below. Be sure to check out all the highlights.

Congrats! Do you know any other bloggers that were chosen? I’m sure they are all feeling the same anxiety and excitement as you are feeling now. You’ll knock ’em out of the ball park with your charm and creative ideas! We look forward to hearing all about the event when you get home. Have a good time and just be yourself and you’ll have stars by your name. You can do this, you can! Think of Thomas the Train, “I think I can, I think I can! I know I can!”
Okay, so that’s not exactly how the store went but that’s how I remember it. My kids are 48 and 45..so that story is a little fuzzy now in my brain and the youngest grandchild is 15 or 16(but she thinks she’s older!
