Happy New Year my friends! Can you believe 2016 is almost over? It flew by so fast. This has been a very busy and I’ll admit, a rather stressful year for my family. The house flood and renovations took a toll on us and I’m sure you’ve noticed I’ve slowed down on producing blog posts. For 2017 I love the idea of bringing you quality vs. quantity. Thank you for all your comments and support this past year! Many days, your kind comments brought me more joy than you can possibly know, THANK YOU! Because narrowing down the best of 2016 to only 10 posts seemed nearly impossible, so let’s toss in a couple more! Take a look at the Favorite 12 Posts of 2016! Beautiful coastal kitchen. What is the name of the back splash tile, I am renovating my kitchen and it would look lovely. Happy New Year!

Thank you Rhonda! It’s by Lunada Bay Tile Company. The color is Agate Lucca Pearl. If you click the link of the kitchen then you will be taken to the blog post with links to all the sources of everything we used in the kitchen.

Hello Kim!
I have been searching high and low online and on Roth+Allen’s website to learn how to install the exact herringbone tile you used on your fireplace for a kitchen back splash with no avail. Then I found your site and you did give me much needed information but I could still use some guidance if you would be so kind. I am terrified of cutting into it and messing it up! The starting is the hard part. I am trying to find out exactly how to make the first cuts for the bottom, side and top edges…how do you know where to start? How much of the tile should be cut off? Someone suggested (at the store) that I cut each tile in half for the whole bottom edge to get a straight line but I’m worried if they are all the same size I will get a “line”…oh please help me figure out what to do! Thanking you in advance, Pati
