Have teens? If yes, then I know you can sympathize with me!

Trying to find the perfect cake for a teenage daughter is difficult! I took a chance and went with a marshmallow fondant polka dot cake.

If you haven’t tried decorating cakes with fondant yet, then polka dots are any easy way to start.

Below is my beautiful 15 year old Birthday Girl, who promptly reminded us that she gets her permit in 6 months! (Gulp) HELP!! PLEASE!!

M1 B&W

The cake inspiration came her polka dot room. How adorable does her cake look on her dresser! I couldn’t resist!

Polka Dot Teen Room

What teen can resist six layers of chocolate and marble cake, layered with vanilla buttercream?

Hmmm, I think she’s pleased! (Whew!! Yay Mom!)

Happy Birthday my darlin’! Love you!

That is an AWESOME cake!! I’ve never used fondant before, but I have used marzipan. I like to try out fondant at some point though, and I hope it comes out as awesome looking as this cake!!
