Now that we finally installed a chandelier in our foyer, I’d like to spruce up the rest of the entryway and staircase a bit. I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to take with it. So I decided to collect some pin worthy staircase inspiration. Let’s start with some gorgeous and rather unique railings and spindles!
The iron scroll work wrapping around the front pillar makes the staircase extra special.
This next tree inspired staircase is from Will Smith’s Malibu home.
I love the organic feel of this tree railing. Notice the roots?!
Renaissance Iron – Artist Rick Sgrillo
These boat cleat and rope spindles would be perfect for a seaside cottage!
Beautiful iron scrollwork and an amazing picture wall completes the tall space.
This staircase is from the Spelling mansion. Imagine walking down those as your prom date waiting below!
Fun Staircases
My kids are begging me to install this! It does look fun doesn’t it?
Staircases with Storage
These staircases use unique and creative ways to maximize storage!
Staircases with Moldings
As much as I love all those swoon-worthy stairs, these staircases are more of what I’m leaning toward (and can afford!). Kate from Centsational Girl transformed her staircase from blah to wow! You’ll have to see her before picture, which is essentially identical to my current stairs.
I love how the walls are dressed up with architectural details.
I’m absolutely in love with this grid board and batten wall!
Staircase Runners
And if you want wood stairs but like the quietness of carpet, then staircase runners are a good option.
Which staircase is your favorite? Which would work for your home? I hope you enjoyed these 20 stunning staircases and got some good pins from them!

Those are some beautiful staircases you’ve got there! Love those – very inspiring. We have one floor, but I’d love to do something like that if I DID have some!

What FUN stairs!! I like Will Smith’s 🙂 We have traditional wooden handrails & I HATE them as the boys keep chipping them lugging all their gear & stuff upstairs & have even broken one of the spindals off…how? I have no idea, they’re boys! Thankfully, Jeff was able to fix it, but I would definitely prefer wrought iron! I do LOVE pictures going up the stairs. I have collages going up mine 🙂

I’d love to do a picture gallery some day too. It is amazing how boys can destroy a house!! lol.90% of all my lamps in my home my boys have knocked over and broken. Still love ’em though!!

Who wouldn’t want to do a pretend Cinderella at midnight run on some of those fairy-tale staircases? Maybe it’s having kids, but my faves are the spiral one with slide and the storage ones. Gorgeous pics! Thanks for sharing.

Haha! Mine too!! Yes, it must be our mommy-needs-storage-practical side overriding the fairy-tale-in-our-dreams side!!

Kim-
What a gorgeous group of inspiration pics you’ve put together! We redid our stairs last year using an espresso stain and they turned out SO gorgeous!! It was a lot of work, but SO worth it!! It changed the whole feel of our house. I’ve got all my tips, how to’s, and of course pics on my blog if you want to check it out http://www.engineeringlifeandstyle.blogspot.com
